Have a summer house in Aurora, Ontario.
Heres my personal view on it: "Focus on making the money, Then when you have money worry about everything else"

    Cheers,

For me it was Passion: For technology and the creation of the world around me, Reconnaissance: My passion to pursue with greatness, and to investigate the world around me.. Revelopution: To be a rebel amongst regular people, To Create, Invent & Improve

I felt like I just read a companies mission statement! ;)

@gotyours I personally do it as I have always been curious about technology, I had my own website at the grand age of nine and hosted games. Ever since I'v been trying to get into game development and tried a few different platforms such as flash and the xbox developer software. I can't deny that making money isn't something that motivates me but it is second to the enjoyment of creating games.

I have no idea if you live in the Canada, BUT if you live in the USA, I say get a business license. It's very nice for all of the tax breaks and deductions you can get.
If you are going to claim game income as personal income, you need all of the business deductions that you can have to off set the taxes.

@Steverd what kind of business do you recommend? LLC?

I`ve been wondering about this to. I`m located in Norway, and they are pretty strickt on taxes and everything. But I´ll guess this wont be a problem, there are some rules that you can make up to 8700$ pr year on your hobby i think. Anyone else from Norway here?
