Now that we have table functionality, I finally got around to converting my 'Yo Mama' app from Xcode to Android with Gamesalad. As the first yo mama app in iTunes, it shot up the charts back in 2008 when things were a lot simpler.

Available now on Google Play:

Pending review for the Amazon app store.

interesting what you can have as an app on mobiles these days. You said you got to number 2 you must've made a good buck or 2 back then!

Yes, but not nearly what the market is today though. Interestingly enough, 3 years later the free version is still getting > 1000 downloads/day.

wow that is impressive considering my first games going no where these days! ... i gather most of them are all young kids at school though, i can see how and why the app would take off though good luck with it on android :)!

It was definitely word of mouth, probably at High Schools. I did zero marketing and the downloads increased exponentially each day. I had made the app to kill some time in between two bigger projects I was working on, not expecting much out of it. Once it was in the top 25 or so, then things took care of themselves, reviews, video review requests, etc. Back then though, there was only about 30k apps in the store so visibility was much better.
