Hey guys and gals,

I have decided to make Max Vector free until I release a MASSIVE update. Grab it while you can :)
The update fixes framerate issues, the bug where the ship disappears, sound timing issues and loads more...

Cheers!

Just tried it for the first time and love it. The only thing that is sometimes annoying is when my finger is covering up the ship.
Most of these type of games are pretty boring but you nailed it.

    Cheers,

I was searching the appstore for this a while back, but couldn`t find it. But now it`s in my collection :D It´s super nice, awsome sounds and style. This should be a hit among retrogame fans (like myself). Looking foreward to the update.

Thanks for the nice comments :)

The weirdest bug is when you lift off the ship, and hit the fire button, the ship teleports to the fire button position, or off screen... it only happens on iPhone... I couldn't make it happen on iPad... I really don't know what's up... code all seems in order...

Anyway, the "remix" version will fix this... it adds a 3D aspect to the game... I'm thinking I'll keep the current Max Vector free as the new one will be a bit too much of an upgrade and may annoy traditional retro gamers...

I will, however, when I have access to my Firewire 400 HDD, open up Max Vector and recompile under the latest version of GS, which I believe is MUCH faster than it was when I used it a couple of years back, so that update in itself should be epic!

Currently finishing off a couple of titles in Unity, then looking forward to heading back to GS for some more 2D goodness :) I have to say, even though I'm capable of building games from scratch in C++ now, nothing is more fun than creating games with GS... frees the imagination without destroying the brain!!!! And Android capabilities! So much has changed! :D

I brought max, and ill do so again with the remix, looking forward to it!. the whole retro gameplay made me sit back and think about the oldschool games i used to play for hours when i was younger, and i kept thinking about a game i played on my atari 2600... i think thats what it was.. anyway, so i decided to make a game just like the game that took so much of my younger life away.Karateka.

@Taidaken - Sweet, is that game done? Or are you currently working on it now? You're in NZ too, right?

Haha - great intro text. And indeed I shall take heed of Captain Amazingly's advice. Main menu music is great.
