Hello, i'm very new to game developing, so i wanted to ask people's opinion about my game, i know y choice of video recording really reallly hurt the colors and resolution of the game, but over all you can see the basics, i suppose.
I just got rather worried about it, in case of it's not interesting at all, and things, since when i showed to my mother, she didn't look at it all, well not like she is even a game player or anything,,, but still, so i thought maybe i should abandon this project ?
Short of the story: On one late evening, when Timmy played too long with his friend in the fields, he discovers quite an unpleasant sight upon returning home, his village have been assaulted by evil professor, who have kidnapped all of villagers and spread evil oozelings upon the village. So Timmy will have to set on dangerous and exciting adventure to reunite with his family, and save them.

and it will include comic before every level, so that's were from the story will come.
And if anyone could tell me or at least share links of previous discussions of following subjects, i would be very very grateful :

As you can see enemies in my game can only move in one direction, or stand still, i would really like to know how to make them move back and forward.

Every time i die, i have "reset scene" happening, but that starts music all over and re spawns all the collectable items all over, even thought i have already scored for them. Is there anything i could about it ?

there are a lot of times, when character can't decide if he is on the left, or on the right, anything doable about it..?

And what do you think about the all the sparkling stuff, is it too annoying for the eyes? As the too dark background?
Thank in advance for any responds at all.
Hopefully i put my "discussion" in the right place? >:P

Yeah the art style is really nice. Although there's something about it that makes it a bit hard to look at. Like the colour scheme or saturation is too busy or something? Some of the artists around here might have some useful tips for you to soften it up a little.

Like the music too, so it will be good to hear it with the real SFX that can blend with the music better.

Well saturation in actual game is really juicy and good, compared to this, it turned out like that after recording it, i think i messed up with video record options. Blue became too blue, and red isn't red at all, :(
Here is the actual colors, with still bad resolution thought... : http://multisimsim.deviantart.com/#/d4s46hj

Ah ok, yeah the screenshots look much nicer - they create a great atmosphere.

I tried a few screen capture programs a while ago and Snapz Pro was the best one so that's what I use now.

Also just sent you a PM.
