Mac Store vs App Store vs Android - anyone on all three?

Just interested to know if anyone out there has games on all three platforms and which platforms seem to perform best sales-wise?

Im pretty sure @tshirtbooth does. As far as I'm aware, the Amazon store is great if you can be in the charts. Problem at the moment is, there is a big sound delay when publishing with Android (on Kindle) and thats halted me releasing anything for that!

Is that a GS issue? The game I'm about to release wasn't made with GS... I'm gonna put into all stores and see what happens ;-)
Is it tough to get on the Amazon Store? I'll go have a look at it...

Amazon store is pretty good, as long as you're featured. So if you are, advertise like hell to make sure you break into the top 100.

My game Monstrous was featured on Hot New Releases for 2 days, and barely broke into the top 100. During those two days, I received about 200 downloads, but when I dropped from the list, it quickly went to between 1-5 downloads a day.

Top 100?!?! Nice work! How would you suggest advertising? I got on to the front page of Touch Arcade with Max Vector, but it didn't help much...

i was gonna suggest doing a good trailer, but then i saw your officially and thought "nevermind". pretty bad ass trailer/gameplay lol

    are you sending promo codes?

@POLYGAMe .. No its not a GS issue, it depends on on what version of Android its published with i believe. I can't remember the exact figures, (used to be a yellow sticky) but basically, if its built with below 2.x it supports a lot more Android devices but has a delay on Kindle, or you go 2.x upwards, alienate the other Android devices but no delay with Kindle or Nook. Those numbers are just what i have in my head, thats not the exact thing but its the basis of what has happened.
In GS though, music plays without a problem, its how it handles sound effects, others have said upon Googling, lots of other SDK's are facing the same problems.

    I am on all three.
iTunes Appstore is consistent in sales.
Market (now Google Play) is a waste of time unless your app is free or hugely popular (most of us do not fit that bill).
Amazon is interesting as the new kid on the block as there are less apps there and quite a voracious customer base...I have 2 apps in and out of the top 50 in Entertainment category.
Our latest GS app Steampilot is about to be released on Amazon.

Nah... game is too old. LOL. I'm just updating it to keep existing customers happy. I will possibly send out codes for Project Downforce (my "Mode7" racer) and Max Vector Remix... but I'm not sure if I should do that here as those projects weren't made with GS (I needed 3D).

There are two stores on Amazon. The Amazon Android store which is the first one you get approved through. Then you go through a second review for the Kindle Fire Store.

@FryingBaconStudios ... Is the version you submit the same for both Amazon stores? What resolution did you publish in for Kindle?

why are you not asking on the Forum for the engine you made it in?

I think all stores would be good for better sales! and as it cost so little to be everywhere … go for it!

So many factors affect the number of sales … who can say … on any given day … the day of the week; the day of the month; the season of the year; the phases of the moon; the weather; the temperature; the stock market; the solar flare/solar wind peaks; KONY 2012; the seismic shifts; the breaking news; the Apple Event, today; etc.

@beefyclyro yes you can chose the option phone&tablet, kinda like apple's universal build option. I output mine in iPhone. As the Kindle scales it up perfectly. I did a whole series on Android publishing on the Unoffical GS guide. It covers Creating your keystore as well as publishing out your app from GS and how to set up on the Google Android Store and Amazon. In this video I show how I output for Kindle Fire.
BTW I have apps on all the stores other than Mac App store.

Because that forum is nowhere near as friendly and not nearly as active. And it's not specific to my new games... for all future games I'm making, many of which will be produced with GS ;-)

Does anyone know if the sound issue has been fixed yet?

No -- not for Kindle and Nook.

    http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/46632/update-on-android-platforms-kindle-fire-nook-sound-issues-resolution-and-black-bars#latest

Don't hold your breath for a fix, based on the official post.

I have found that the Kindle and Nook sound works ok if it's just one effect at a time, done through the "Play Music" behavior (rather than using the "Play Sound" behavior). This is less than ideal, but its a small workaround.

I by far have the best success on the Nook App Store
