its a cool splash screen, but i agree that the syringe could become a problem, but it looks good regardless.

Hey, looks great.
I'd say yes, get rid of the syringe, it could become a problem. Also, you might consider taking out the hand if you take out the syringe. This would look nice on a solid color background, maybe rotated a little.
My personal opinion is i think the syringe is fine. Its not like you have it going into someones arm. But i dont have kids or anything so my judgement could be differnt.
One thing i can speak on though, is thats supposed to be an ipad right? If apple thinks it is, they will reject any app with that splash screen because it has the ipad in it.
I really like it, it's a cool design that stands out, good work! If want to be on the safe side though, I would get rid of the syringe and change the design of the ipad a little.
I like the new logo. A lot cleaner and removes the drug reference out of the first logo. Toss the center button and add some wifi rabbit ears to make it look less iPadish so you have no problems getting it through. Good luck!
I would keep the hand/needle.. You are injecting a morphine rush into the audiences gaming. There's nothing bad about that IMO.

thanks for the heads up tho. maybe i can move the home button to the right or left so they can't say its exactly an iPad
also, i don't know if your correct, i have this as a splash screen in an app currently and it got approved easily
