APKs and the Nook Tablet

Yo!

When I tested on my Fire, all I had to do was email myself the apk, and open it on the Kindle. That's a nogo on the Nook Tablet, and I haven't been able to figure out how to install either my own app or the GS viewer on the Nook. I keep getting the "try archiving and unarachiving" message.

How did you guys do it?

you have to do it through terminal. I'll see if I can get some better info but I think there is a process you have to put your nook through that is basically rooting the thing. Then the terminal version is opened up. Surely there is some info on nooks dev site. If it plays well on the kindle its prob good to go on the nook. They are picky enough you could always just let them test it for you in review.

@tenrdrmer They did test it for me in review, and apparently hitting the home key doesn't pause the game So I broke and picked up a tablet. So it is through terminal only? What a pain in the ass. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.

doesnt pause the game or the music?

the game should not really pause since gamesalad doesn't do that. I have seen them reject based on the music and sometimes the sounds dont stop. But I have never heard of the game it self not suspending

@tenrdrmer The game didn't pause. They determined this because the in game timer had continued to count while the game was supposedly suspended.

Ah thats no Good. You need to send that into GS right away. make sure to include your project as well as all your system stats and what version of GS you are using.

@tenrdrmer Support has now been contacted. I guess I assumed it was my fault, but now thinking about it, i wouldn't have control over the game suspending when the home key is pressed.
