resolution independence and app file size

Hi all,
Toggling resolution independence doubles my app file size.
I have a 15MB project ready to submit for iphone however it appears as 30MB when I toggle this selection and I ideally do now wish to exceed the 20MB limit.
If I decide to not have resolution independence what problems will I face ?

    resolution independence is for when you use retina sized graphics. You would make all images twice the size you need them to be, and GameSalad uses the large graphics for retina graphics, and clicking resolution independence makes copies of those images at half their size and uses those images on older devices (iPhone 3GS and earlier)

    If you didn't plan for retina graphics, then I wouldn't check the box.

    i'm using my ipad sized graphics and use the camera trick size (1024x768) to make it work on the iphone.
    So if I don't select res'independence my app wil only work on iphone 4 /4S ?
