... so I definitely need to get a bit of luck to build some sales up somewhere.
Current Plan: • Fingers still crossed for a New and Noteworthy on iTunes. • Got someone who used to work for the Guardian to email the people that write their Tech Blog • I can still drop the price and get some coverage • Just uploading a walkthrough video to youtube (me, my phone, the game and a video camera) • Want to make a cool promo video about indie development based around the game. • Can release a free version with limited functionality (No GameCentre, fewer guns) and a link to full version • Send out press pack to lots of review sites. • Put link to game in my other releases
Maybe then it will gain a few more sales... if not I guess it's onto the next one...
Day 4 sales figures = an incredible 1.... which is a bit of a shame...
Still some hope held for something.
Spent tonight working on an update, adding in the login button on the GameCentre buttons screen (though it does log me in when I press post highscore)....though this could be due to still being logged in from other games perhaps.
Also spent ages (and lots of frustration) making the flame thrower function better, so it recharges when not firing not just when empty and the invaders also detect being hit by the flame thrower continuously as there was some lag occurring...
Thanks...pretty amateur really, used my Canon 500D (Which I got for my 30th back in January), a tripod and turned the lights off in the room, but left the lights on in the next room and had the door open.... worked out ok... The audio was just recorded in the camera but turned out well enough...I think I did about 4 takes to get a decent run through what I wanted to say and show.
The lighting looks very warm thought you might have used a fill light with diffusion. You had good depth of field so that might have diffused the light in the shot. Very nice!
Just got a shout out for my little old Audio Invaders game in the AppleViz newsletter they send out to all their users. Its a site that specialises in games for the blind or visually impaired. Which is very cool.
Still hoping for bigger and better things for this title. fingers crossed.
I've Just submitted an update for this… (so once approved)
• It will be iOS7 compatible • Adapt to fit iPhone 5 or legacy sized screens.
I've never sold the game a lot… $761 in two years… 8166 sales…. it's been free for a couple of days now and then...
How ever it does have a bit of a following with the visually impaired gamer due to the audio nature of the gameplay. So after a couple of emails from some fans I decided to put the effort in and update it.
It should cover my Apple developer licence anyway and I might now put the effort in to get it on Android as well soon..

Version 1.2 just submitted with the changes mentioned before implemented.
Let me know if you come across any bugs or things you think would work better if changed a bit.
^:)^
That's great! I'll be looking at this tonight!

Well I just picked up a copy of the game my friend.
Cheers

Its alright.... obviously we all hope for mega sales at some point. But if I didn't enjoy the game developing process it would certainly not get made.
One day we shall all make it to our first million.... possibly 1 million free sales or one million £. we shall see.
