Playing more than one sound at a time

I am making a game and recorded music and sounds. When I try to make a sound play during the music, it stops the music and plays the sound. I think it may happen because it is picking up the fx as music, but when I tried to use the behavior, 'play sound' it won't let me use a recorded sound I made. Please help!

When you import the sound file to your project , you need to choose "import as sound" , this way gs will recognize it as sfx and not as music file ,
Then you can have multiple sound effects triggered simultaneous .

Your sound file is designated as a music file in GameSalad. GS only plays one music file at a time. You will need to re-import the sound again, and select "import as sound" in order to use it with a sound behavior.

And if you are using AAC for audio compression, it will automatically see that file as a music file since GS uses .m4a as music, and .ogg for sound effects. The sounds need to be .ogg or .mp3 or almost any other format other than .m4a if you want them to be used as sound effects.
