Some questions about iPhone publishing and testing (please answer :) )

Howdy GS developers, lightbulb here, now gloriously at the last step for polishing my game I've encountered some questions about this important step:

- which name would show as the developers name? If paying with my dad credit card would t show his name , If true how would I change this to my name or at least "lightbulb" (hoping @leonarddeveloper or anyone with experience on this would answer :) )

-is the publishing realize by gamesalad or do I have to get a specific file for me to upload with apple? As shown in tshirtbooth tutorials?

-any guide available apart from tshirtbooth, I believe there's a Leonarddeveloper one but couldn't find the link

-once I get the account would it magically appear a test on iPhone button, how does this work?

I would be thankful on any recommendation on this really important step.

Thanks
Lightbulb

I would say you have to get an iPhone developer account with Apple - just look for it on their site, or google it.

I have no idea about your dad's account - I set up as a company so I can't help you there, sorry!

You upload your file to GS, and you get a finished one back that you can upload using Application Loader (again, from the Apple's dev section)

You will also need to download the latest Xcode, which you can get for free once your dev account is up and running. This is so you can put the GS Viewer onto your phone, and test your game like that (a VERY important thing to do!).

Once you have the viewer on your phone, make sure your computer and your phone are on the same wireless network. Starting the viewer while you have a GS project open will make an iPhone device magically appear next to your big green 'play' button at the top middle of the creator.

Once you have an apple dev account, there's some info here about publishing to iOS:

Hope that answers some of your questions,

Thanks! :D a quick question how do they send the money, do I need to reach e.g 10 dollars so I can get the money? Do I set the bank account or what?

Apple send money by bank transfer, so you have to make sure you fill out your bank info. in iTunes Connect. According to the iTunes Connect FAQ, you need to make $150 before money is sent to you.

@lightbulb .... Apple pays (last time I saw this answered) after you reach $150 in earnings. You will need to setup your dad's bank details (the same one as the credit card you paid for the dev account). There are also some Tax info and agreements depending on where you are from. I sense that you are young so this has to be in his name, he should work with you to set it up and in doing so you will learn all about how/when it's paid etc. Very important to have everything match the credit card .... Also it will appear under his name in the App store but you can also have it show your 'game making name' ... and if you haven't done so already I would suggest if you are serious about getting into Apps, then get a website and get a page up with a contact email for support and issues ... that can then also be submitted in your Dev account details and will show up on your app's iTunes pages which will help (along with the quality of your game) in putting forth a professional appearance. Be prepared for a bit of work to get this all done it is not quick and easy but once its out the way you won't be doing it again. Hope that helps.
