HD video making tools for games

Hi Everyone,
I have seen that the first impression of the gameplay for a game is indeed given by a video, and if the video is really cool and crisp looking, people are surely going to spend their precious time watching it and deciding whether to buy your game or not.
I wanted to get some advise for making videos for games made in gamesalad. Kindly suggest for the tools you have used before for making videos. (Hopefully they are not too expensive)
Personally, I have seen that the video recordings (using the Mac's in-built player), I do on my Mac are not really sharp and crisp looking.
I have heard a lot about Soundstage but have not used it as yet. If somebody has used it then kindly give your thoughts on using it.
Cheers,
Andy

Edit it in iMovie (takes some playing around to get to know all the features and what you need to do to get the results you want)
awe, do love the iPad iMovie.app!
Soundstage's video looks nice and price is great … but some of the reviews sorta make me leery
iScreen Recorder Lite is free and $5 to buy
I like try and buy!
but IMO all the less expensive Recorders just call on Mac native recording functions … which are in QuickTime
even I could build an app that does that with Automator!

Here are some of my videos that I recorded in SoundStage and editing in iMovie as noted above. The quality increases in HD;
