so i got an email today from amazon on my app and was rejected for the following reason....

Issue : Application fails to cover full screen of the device in both portrait and landscape mode.(Refer screenshots) Steps to reproduce : 1. Launch the application 2. Observe that Application fails to cover full screen of the device in both portrait and landscape mode Motorola Droid, HTC EVO, Samsung Galaxy Tablet

So how do i fix this?

Is your game supposed to rotate to portrait mode and landscape mode? If not, that could be the problem. I once submitted to apple and they denied me because I accidentally left it capable of rotating into portrait and cutting off some of the stuff on the screen. Its probably something similar with amazon.

No it's just supports portrait mode...so should I inform them it's only portrait mode? And does it automatically flip and I just didn't fix that ?

you may have to use the resize to iPad technique to make the game take up the full screen when you publish to android: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/32594/resizing-to-ipad-technique/p1

also, make sure you test this on an actual device before submitting it.

@johnydee187, I think that is what I am talking about. Make sure that all of your scenes have only portrait enabled. You can do this in scene attributes and then go do Autorotate. Does this help? Also I think there is an option for supported interface orientation when you publish.

i got that problem with amazon too however i really 2 games using nook/kindle size and they accepted the app after. Think they dun like games that have black borders around . Perhaps that lead to them thinking the game should be able to fit both portrait n landscape even though we specified it suppose to support only landscape or portrait mode during submission.

It the same with Apple you have to have all scenes checked for left right horizontal or portrait or it will get rejected. What I did was use an iPhone version and I make the scene background black the kindle and zoom strech it out there is just a small band of black left and right in horizontal mode and I know the black is from my background because if I change the color the sides change from black to that color so the app does cover the whole screen. I'm submitting our first app to Amazon next week, I will report back how I make out. I tried an iPad version and it was too big for the Kindle.

Okay I have went through and changed all my scenes (a big 2) to "portrait".. Now running on a live Kindle Fire. If I keep the app in under Project Info set it Iphone Portrait It does not look to bad but I do have some black on the top and bottom of the app. I am still new hear so thanks in advance. How do I get this thing to stretch? When I changed it to Kindle Fire it was off the page.

    *** Sorry about dup post****
I started a new thread because I kept getting error occured.
