    Curious what makes this "manga style" (not being snarky).

    @Pixelgun
    There eyes!, Eyes like that are significant to manga characters... I know i shouldn't be telling the artist! :) But hey, I know about manga! :) Hows life dave? :)

    So Disney characters, having big eyes, are also Manga. Good to know. (ok a little snarky there) ;)
    Hey I to read manga on occasion, I saw Akira in the theater in the 80s, I grew up watching Robotech. It looks more like Zwinky art to me than Manga or even chibi. But it's silly for me to argue about the term I guess, it has become as broad as the term "indy".

    @debugdesign nice characters.

    @LeonardDeveloper technically they wouldnt be classed as manga for a number of reasons.

    The biggest giveaway is the 3 fingered hands. Look closely at most true Japanese Manga, and the hands will almost always have 4 fingers and a thumb, or the hand will be drawn in a more of an indistinct blob style. This is because in the 70's there was a movement in Japanese comics and film to remove any 3 fingered characters.... as in Japan, its a common sign used by the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia), to have a finger removed, and thus only have 3 fingers. So its basically only western imported cartoons etc that use the 3 fingered hand.

    Pretty much any Japanese would be able to recognise them as Western designed characters. Theyre more in a generalised "super-deformed" style than a true Manga style.

    I should say, even though I'm not convinced it's Manga style, I do think it's well done! Good job @Debugdesign

    @Pixelgun You're right, It's not Manga style. It's emotion icons on bodies and totally western.

    I grew up on Robotech too, but after seeing Macross the way it was supposed to be seen, I tried to forget that those other 2 generations ever existed. Genesis Climber Mospeada was still pretty dope on its own though. Love them big transformable fighters.

    @RP yeah I always thought there was just something lost in the translation. Little did I know it was just rewritten and hacked together without any thought to translation. Robotech didn't always make much sense but I remember really liking it when I was a kid. It's nice that Anime and Manga is more thoughtfully handled these days.

    You're right they are not typical manga style... I was just relaying the description they already had. (they were done by a friend)

    The freebie will be updated in a few days to keep your eyes on my twitter feed!

    Thanks to the management for not deleting my last comment (3rd party link) as I need to get a grip with the whole signature thing.
    I think deep blue apps and myself love this community a lot but find it difficult under the new rules...

    Lots of new graphics still to upload!

    ALSO check out this REALLY useful article for when you hit the game developers wall - http://www.graphic-buffet.com/news

    I have 3 games in development (all GS) and this is so true...
