Highly Recommend Amazon Market

I'm not sure if this is still going on, but when I signed up for amazon it was free for a year (instead of its regular $99). I would recommend it because it is easier for users to find your app on amazon than on googles system.
On amazon I got 500 downloads in a week and on google only 20. There is something wrong when a user has to dig through pages and pages to come across your game by chance. Amazon seems much more promising at this point.
Hope this is helpful

@FryingBaconStudios good luck! Hopefully it goes well.
You don't see TSB going around and telling people what to do to make more money you must be a born philantropist. (just teasing.)
If people don't want to be on there and miss sales I guess that is their choice
The Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet have very similar markets to the iPad market. If you have an app that does great on the iPad, it should do really well on those markets too.
The regular Android market is much tougher as the store is harder to navigate. I still sell about 100 copies of the game per day, which certainly isn't shabby, but it is nothing compared to the other App stores.
I wish everybody a prosperous 2012!!
Thanks!
@ultima, tsb may not have recommended an app market but he is quite possibly the most helpful gs user there is. its nice to give advice.

Have you tried publishing an apk with the latest build to see if you are experiencing the same sound delay as before? Let me know, thanks.

Then click on "Amazon App Store for Android". You can sign up and even use a linked account with your usual amazon login. App approval process is longer than Google Android Market but that is because Amazon does some signing on their end. Amazon is a proven platform for customers who are willing to spend money and can track all their purchases conveniently. Probably beating a dead horse by now, but you and anyone who hasn't signed up should go do so right away!
Sorry for crap video, had to record from my phone.
Not sure why the character stars off really big and shrinks down, would need to investigate that but i don't see that taking long .. Just the delay, it just does not look professional at all. I've only quickly knocked out this one as a test but i have other games that rely more on sound effects, this only has a couple and with it like that, i wouldn't release it. So as far as the Kindle Fire, i can't look at releasing yet!
Would this same delay be present on a Nook? How about normal Android devices? I can only test on the Fire currently.
Cheers

I don't think a bug report is necessary. We are all aware of the potential for audio to lag on Android. The fixes will come as soon as they can - we are not ignoring the issues.
Thanks all for being patient.
As far as the delay, it is much better on the fire than it was before, but is still there, I think it just depends on what each person is willing to live with as to wether or not you want to put your app for sale.
@beefy I used to have the delay just as bad on my droid 2 as my fire, but its almost not noticeable on my droid 2 now. Much better on the droid 2 than the fire.
I just ended up making versions of my apps using music for sound, even though its so limited and takes away so much from the game. I do have about 5 apps left that have to use audio as I change the pitch on the fly. The delay I could live with for the types of apps I have left but the audio continuing to play after you exit keeps getting my apps rejected from B&N and Amazon.
