Code changes itself

I have noticed that pieces of code are changing themselves in my games. Noticeably, the equals to or less than sign changes to the equals to or greater than sign. This has caused me real headaches. I have also noticed other bits of code that have been swapping around on their own but have not made a note as I thought it was just me. Now I know I'm not going mad.
