Updates and new release list

Has anyone had an update come out in the past few weeks? I was doing some searching and I found a thread over on iPhonedevsdk forums that back in November people started seeing their updates once again return to the top of the list. Can anyone confirm or deny?

If its true, they must have found a way to prevent people from pushing small updates often to drive sales.

Yes it's true. I released an update for one of my game this sunday and it was on the new release list.

It depends. If you release a new app and you're so lucky to have it listed in the new release section with the right date then you will find it submerged by dozens of "minor bug fixes" updates. On the other hand if you had the release date screwed up it's another opportunity to go back to the top. It's a double edged sword.

I would prefer that updates don't get pushed to the top. Or at least make a different section so we would have the "New Release" section and the "Recently Updated" one.
