How do you promote?

Well, sales are not good :(
So, im thinking of ways to promote, any ideas? Iv only posted on a few forums for promotion so far (and sent away to some review sites) :-?

    @JamieOneil ,

    You may try the follow :

    - if there is a budget you can use adMob

    - YouTube video would help also

    - post the game for free for a couple of days so you get people to download it , so if they like it they will tell and it might boost in the charts also

    - social networks , Facebook and twitter pages

    Those what came up in my mind now , hope something will work out for you , good luck

    ive tried all of those things and its just hard to get anyone to notice. I made my game free yesterday and got a bunch of people to download it, hopefully that will generate some buzz. My app has not been out for a week yet so we will see how things go from here. Its also my first app so maybe i need to build up my brand and get some followers.

    Has anyone had luck translating their game into another language? I think that could open up the market. Ive noticed all of my sales have been USA, Canada and UK. Just a thought.

    My sales aren't any good. Lol. I only had about 40 downloads. :P I set it free for a day or two hoping to get some feedback - We'll see how it does.

    all those things might easier be done via desktop as for a copy/paste of appStore link …
