Auto Rotating Upside Down Android

Hello,
I am getting my first android app ready. All is well enough (sound is delayed, but doesnt really matter with so many bullets flying)
the issue im having is that the auto rotate 'auto rotates' the image upside down, always!
anyone else experience this?
anyone able to shed some light?
