anyone ever had trouble with looping audio still playing after a game is exited?

Not music, but sound... in a game where there is music playing but behind it all i have a looping wind sound going. I had one user on their motorola triumph report that each time they back out of the game, the wind looping would keep playing..

Thanks!

There was an issue for the music playing after suspend that was addressed in the last update, but honestly I have not heard of the sound issue. Maybe its the same thing and most ppl don't loop their sounds.

Make sure t submit a bug report. I'll forward this thread but to fully investigate they will prob need your project file to see whats causing it.

ok awesome, i'll start that bug. let me know what you need filewise..

I can understand how it could be a function not often done... but I do think its something worth addressing if possible. if its a bad idea to loop sounds, might just want to remove looping as an option.

also the piece for what its worth is a longer wav... not a 1 second loop.. more like 1minute wav. in case that's a possible issue as well.

but this issue is not a problem on iOS.. so far as i can tell its perfect.. its specific to android..

    Thanks!

I have... I just today as a matter of fact... after leaving the scene and NOT finishing the level my music was still playing. I still have to figure out what to do if I leave the level before the scene end because the music doesn't stop. I at least was able to fix the music by creating a rule in the exit (door) actor to stop the music when it came in contact with the main actor (player), so as long as the level is completed, the music stops but if I leave the level without completing the music keeps playing. I literally have to save, exit and log back in.

P.s. I am new to this so I may just be doing something wrong, so I hope you were talking about the same thing I just said o_0. Not on Android tho... on simulator, web preview and reg preview.

@muveemutt what ever rule triggers your scene change put the stop music behavior in it.

@muveemutt yea you can stop music when in-game events occur. Or alternatively (what i tend to do) is just have a new song for the new scene.. which cancels the previous song since you can only have one play music sound at a time..

also if you're having this problem with android like i am.. be sure your music is a play music behavior and not a play sound.. my issue is only with looping "play sound".. not quitting a game with "play music" looping..

@dsouza41 I did that... that is what I said up there... in my exit door I put the stop music there... I am saying...if I leave the level WITHOUT FINISHING or making it to the scene change the music keeps playing. @part12studios I do have other music for the next scene, just thought the music was supposed to stop if you leave the scene early. Either way really it's okay, I can just include the music into the menu i haven't added yet. Plus I still have to add buttons for controls to the main character actor for ios and ipad platforms so it may just work to my advantage :-)
