Hi, some of you might know that I rationalised my plans for which order my apps will appear. The first one was going to be Logic Puzzler 1, a puzzle game. (And two others before that...)

About a week ago another game idea came to me and I've got quite a way already. This'll definitely be my first offering with GSC and definitely finished by March 2012 (or my goldfish gets it...) ;-)

My surreal interactive multimedia app which is to follow is very unusual and strange and so this game has hints of what is to come (although this one's not that strange, just a bit unusual). What is very unusual is the title; I wanted something that is totally leftfield and different than anything else; a title to stimulate people's curiosity, make them think: "what on earth is that about?" so they check it out. That's the idea, anyhow!

So the title of my first app is:

Alive Antique Wallpaper.

I told you it was different! Anyhow, I'll be posting a vid soon ( within half an hour) showing how far I've got in a week (a fair bit which is surprising for me!)

PS I haven't updated my website yet with the change; I've got to get around to doing that....

    OK, here is the first progress video of my first app, the game called Alive Antique Wallpaper. Any comments, thoughts, etc gratefully received as usual, thanks! (PS The timings, i.e the slow pace, is deliberate as part of the atmosphere; I guess if a user doesn't like it they'll buy an arcade-type game... but hopefully people into adventure games will appreciate it. Not that it's an adventure game as such but has small elements of that gaming genre, mainly a storyline woven throughout the levels (there'll be 52 of them... levels that is, not stories ;-)

    PS The audio in the vid is delayed again. I really must find a way to sort that.

    PPS The first level is necessarily simple of course and they get progressively harder with other elements added... ah, you know that....

    I propped my eyes open with matchsticks and watched the video... So far it looks super polished and really atmospheric! The artwork looks great, too!

    Ace, thanks for keeping sleep at bay to check out the vid! I collapsed shortly after as well (I think it was getting on for 2 in the morning by then...) Pleased that you like the artwork; the wall(s) artwork I bought a useage licence for, created by a terrific Photoshop artist called Elizabeth Gallagher.

    Hi muveemutt; it is a standard levels type of game with mystery/story woven in! There'll be more of the panels to unlock and open later on in the game where objects, letters, photographs, etc will be discovered to add to the story. There'll also be "easter eggs" in the way of touching certain coordinates where it'll give a voice over as well as images occasionally. Also voice-overs via a discovered telephone, and an antique radio. Not quite an adventure game... though still all very atmospheric, hopefully...

    I'll post another progress video in a month's time for your interest. :-)

    Ha! Reading this earlier in the morning, bleary-eyed, you got me! Really pleased you like it a lot (and the other guys); really helps confidence to plough on.
