How do I compare two strings that are **not** the same

(I apologize if this is a duplicate posting)
I see that we can compare two text strings that are identical or that have something in common with each other. But can I have a rule that says, "When string x is **not** the same as string y?" There is no option for "is not" in the pull down menu. Using the Otherwise box doesn't work for me because then it registers a difference between x and y right from the start. How do I fix this? I think it would be with a boolean attribute, but I'm not sure what I should be checking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
