Can't rename new layers

Hello. I am adding a new layer to all of my scene's; which is working fine. The problem is that I can't rename the new layer after I add it. I saw tshirtbooths you tube video on layers and he mentioned that all you have to do is double-click on the layer name and you can rename it; but it doesn't work for me. Is this another bug or am I doing something wrong here. I have the latest and greatest version of gamesalad on MAC OS X 10.6.5.

    its a bit buggy but it does work. do this : click on the layer name, wait a second, click it again and it become editable
