edited November -1 in Announce Your Game!
Hey Guys-

I have been working on this trailer for quite some time now. I'm posting it now to get some feedback. The game is based off the popular television show "Ninja Warrior". We have partnered with G4 to create this game. The game won't be launched for awhile as I'm in a contract with G4 negotiating terms and conditions and I am looking for 1-2 extremely talented programmers as well as some kick@$$ artists...do you think you'd like to be a part of this? of course its a paid position!

Anyway without further ado...here is the trailer

LOL.. not sure what to say, i've got mixed feelings trailer started sooo well and then that ending with the plane was like..so random..lol

On a serious note i cant quite seem to understand how the game will play is it a platformer??.. art style looks cool and with the 3D models etc. im guessing this is not being made with gamesalad right?

Also in terms of programming what will you need.. feel free to PM me or message back here with some details. thanks.

haha my fault..I should have explained it a bit more. The player starts out in jungle (brazil) and your main objective is to get to Japan to compete in the ultimate ninja warrior challenge. You travel the world to different country and each country is going to be set up with environmental obstacles that resemble the real obstacles based off the show. So after you beat all the levels in the jungle, you hop in a plane and go to another country...there are 10 different countries that you visit before you reach your final destination (japan)

The game is going to be a platformer...and the art style that is in the video is just for demonstration purposes ( i was practicing my 3d skills..I'm a bit rusty) and if GameSalad perform well then I don't see a reason why it cant be programmed in it but I'd rather use something else since I have investors involved and they're looking for the best possible results

ah! cool..lol...yea no the name itself is awesome in my opinion...and im very familiar with the show, used to watch it all the time... so if you can pull this off i think it will be great. Unfortunately im no real programmer so i wouldn't be able to really help you other than being a critic. still i hope you will keep us guys over here posted on updates and news etc. and i hope it works out well for you!

This should be your animatic. The trailer is a bit long with terrible camera angles. Animation, lighting, and texture...not good. Normally, working in 3D is very time consuming. Modeling, zbrushing, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering, composting etc... god, that gives me headache. Try to make it short. You can mix with your gameplay in it such as introduce graphic, system and UI etc. The good method to judge your game/trailer is "to ask yourself." would you buy that game after you watch that trailer? If you want to make kick ass game then you gotta work extra harder. just my 2 cents.

I agree some with kinwaing. I think for now if you don't have any gameplay a trailer is getting a bit ahead. If you want a trailer to spark up talk about it atleast get a bit of gameplay and maybe do something like build the story around cut scenes into gameplay and back to story line. That way people get a sense of both what the story behind it is and then a sense of how it is played. It's a good start and good rough draft. I can tell you worked hard on it, but kinwaing is right keep it short. Short sweet and to the point. Short can be very helpful anyways. You want to leave your audience wanting more so little teasers of gameplay, storyline, and finish up with an estimated release and you should have people wanting more.

    Good luck and good work.

Trailer too long. Put it this way, if it was posted here on the GS forums, i would of stopped watching at 1.12. Thats nothing personal, the trailer is decent but quite simply, people will only watch for around a minute and then you lose their attention.
