I wonder gs iPhone games are just sitting there on the iPhone the way the mac ones are. Makes me wonder if the hacker has a free gs account

anyways I'll take it as a compliment someone spent time to crack my game. Lol

It takes no time to crack a game. Basically, you have a jailbroken phone, you have cydia installed, you then install appollous which is like an index link to all the cracked games. You can also install via cydia (cant remember the name exactly) crackulous (i think) which is a program that cracks the game(s) for you. So basically, someone originally buys it, cracks it via the program and uploads it to one of the sharing sites and indexes a link in appollous

Theres no point worrying about your cracked games, these kind of people wouldnt of bought it anyway, they wont pay for nothing, you just gotta hope they show it to a friend who doesnt have a jailbroken friend and then they purchase it. Hey, if it advertises the game a bit more it cant be that bad seeing as they are only ever going to leach!

in a way its cool to get it cracked...must be alright to have that done...still sucks a bit though.

But as Beefy Clyro says, the people that have the cracked version would'nt have bought it anyway....and most iphone users probably are'nt jail broken anyway, most people I know are too scared to do it for fear of breaking their phone which they have on 18 month contracts or more.

Yeah, doesn't bother me at all.
Especially considering we give as many promo codes out as we can anyways.

Like playing in a band trying to make it.

The best thin people can do is copy your CS and give to friends

Besides If people want something cracked they will get it.
If someone can crack something like adobe they can certainly crack my silly little game

There is a crack protection solution which works really well but you can't use it with GS, like any other third party software.

The software costs about 50 dollar (I bought it in the beginning for 15) and it works pretty well.

    Just for your info.

    http://www.drobnik.com/touch/anticrack/

Meanwhile I don't care for cracks any more... they should stroke on it if they can't even spend 99 cents on an app :-P

Ya, I was hoping that CodeMonkey or the powers that be could work with Dr. Touch aka Oliver Drobnik to get the Anticrack code implemented, even so far as to build it server-side when you go to Publish your game from within GameSalad. All that GS would have to do is provide a Game Attribute like Game.CrackedCopy with a Boolean value that can be read by your script and from there you can do as you please... Make the game impossible to win, shut down, or come up with a "please don't pirate" pop-up.

Here's hoping that iPhone OS 4.0 will come with a new version of FairPlay while shutting down the jailbreakers from this version forward.

I don't think that Drobnik will play along even if GS wants to implement it, because even if he says, that he doesn't sell it, you have to make a donation at least 50 dollars to get the code.

If it is in GS, he lose much money, because then all GS game developers get it for free....practically....

I bought it for 15 a while back too... however, GS could make it an option if we paid through them and they enabled that feature, sorta like how the Pro features get turned on based on your membership status.

    That is an idea!

I am for it. I mean, i don't need it desperately, but when it is in, I have nothing against it :-)
