i created this game and posted it on appstore looking for opinions

my game is a level based scrolling shooter i think it brings heaps to the app store as most other scrolling shooter games have endless levels where as my game have short fun levels which don't drag on version 1.0 only has 2 levels version 1.1 will have more levels and features which i am submitting to apple now.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/deejs-adventure/id478535184?ls=1&mt=8

many more levels to come

please let me know what you think

So what you published an App with only 2 levels?. And you think thats better than an endless game.

Shouldn't Version 1.1 have been Version 1.0? If it had, I suspect that we would have given you much more positive feedback.

I think its best to always try to make 1.0 as complete as it can be. You have to hook your users at the beginning. Happy users from the start = good first reviews = more downloads. Put all the levels you can in 1.0 and then when you think of a very different or fun new feature, make the next version.

I agree with Mike, it is better to start off with a great app than a so-so app with promises of improvement. I do understand where you're coming from but in most situations there is no reason not to delay a few more weeks and then publish an your app. This will cause people to think higher of you.

Thomas has a good point. Remember the 3DS? It hooked us with Mario Kart, Kid Icarus(it is great to see the Kid back in action), Contra, and even Luigi's Mansion 2, at E3 2010. I was an early adopter. But when it came out: I see no Kid Icarus, only Pilotwings.
Sales were practically nonexistent, and Nintendo suffered some serious revenue loss. Why? Because it could not deliver on what it promised. While your game is certainly not a 3DS, the promise of better things to come may not be enough.
