Actually Slightly Annoyed...

Hey Everyone...

I was joyed to find an update allowing for android publishing (namely to kindle fire) when I opened my Gamesalad today. I had decided that I was to convert my app (called Junk Food Destroyer) from iPad to iPod touch and this was the only day that I had available. On seeing the Kindle Fire update, I spent the next five hours converting my app from iPad to Kindle fire. I had finished my app, tested it worked (in Gamesalad) then clicked 'Publish'. I was dismayed to find that I can only publish to iPad or Macintosh. Not what I wanted.

I checked the Gamesalad website and found that Android publishing is only available to PRO members. Not what it said in the update! Please make this more clear in the future five+ hours of my time wasted :(

Most new features are pro only, they made that pretty clear.

Yodapollo said also that it's because publishing is a lot more advanced so more suited to pro developers.

Also, if you were a pro member, you'd be pretty pissed if you weren't really getting value for your money. Gamesalad at the end of the day does allow you to use the software and publish for iOS for free. Can't ask for much more.

Yeah just finished Publish an App for Kindle. Took a bit to figure out and part of it requires using terminal. I'm pretty sure theres gonna be a lot of people with issues. I find this far more confusing than using xcode to put the viewer on my device.

@tenrdrmer: have you been able to test your app on an android device yet?
