Question about Posting Scores to game center...

I'm testing the ad-hoc version of my game on an iPhone. I've added leaderboard support and posting score support and set everything up in iTunes connect already. When I view the leaderboard in the game, it works fine and brings up sandbox. But when I try to post my score, nothing happens whatsoever, and nothing appears on the leaderboard when i re open it. Is this normal for the ad-hoc version, do I have to publish it to the app store to actually use the post score feature?

    How long have you waited before checking back on your test score. Sometimes it can take a few hours to show up. If its not showing up after 24 hours your post score rules may not be running properly. Keep in mind the score has to have time to upload. so if your posting as the scene change more than likely it misses its post.     In my game I have a button that posts a score to gamecenter, and a button that lets you view the leaderboard. My leaderboards are set up in itunes, and I'm referencing the correct ones in my game center attributes. I test the ad-hoc version fo my game and the leaderboard button works in sandbox, letting me view the leaderboard I made in itunes connect. But when I chose the post score button, nothing happens. I tap the leaderbaord button again and it remains unchanged. Is this normal? Do I have to publish to the app store in order to test the post score functionality?

    Well that explains my issues earlier with suburban grand prix! Good to know. (and FYI it worked once live.)

    but i cant see the sandbox option when trying to log in to Game Center.... my iphone 4 is jailbroken .....any suggestions?
