Candy Craze (AcaiGames) Beta Testers Needed

Objective:
A Simple fun game for all ages, allowing an interactive touch based candy gathering craze for anyone and everyone. Immerse yourself into gameplay that test your skills and precision, Gather required candy in amount of time provided but watch out you can only gather multiples of one candy per needed achievement.

Goals:
Time based to collect 5 types of candy and different amounts of each candy type, in amount of time provided, hit wrong item and time deducts by 1-3 seconds allowing you with less time to achieve amount needed

    Thanks and for the heads up, so GS Wont play music when distributed ?

    BTW I've watched allot of your how-to videos learned A LOT!! I mean it, i'm more of a programmer HTML C++ Now Xcode and GS And graphics was not my field at all lol, but some dedication and work will get you pretty far!, and its exciting seeing my game be brought to life.. will continue to post frequent updates.

    Thats what i thought sorry for misunderstanding. Yes that is what i stated in first post that my sound guy is currently working on new sounds :) Able to do great things with template the range is limitless! incorporated one of my old templates as well!

    Here is the most recent update, with major enhancements and improvements as well as bug fixes graphic updates new features and so on. Getting one step closer each and every hour to completing development of Candy Craze i am still aiming towards the november 7th RELEASE!!

    art is pretty generic and gameplay is painfully simple
    game like that can be done in matter of minutes without an art

    how does any customer would want to buy this game? theres better options for 0.99(or whatever cost)
    if game is so simple it should at least attract customers with beautiful original art

    There's a lot of people just starting out here, and we like to encourage people to do so.

    While their art, or production values, perhaps aren't up to the standards expected on the app store, some of these people may be the game designers of the future. The mistakes and lessons learned here may help them in years to come.

    One of these people may end up making your favourite game in the future.

    I find your attitude is particularly egregious towards other forum members. Also, you don't use the software anymore, so why come here to post your opinions at all?

    Nothing personal. Just telling you the truth from my perspective. Just my 2 cents as a developer, gamer, and human being.

    Ok first of i would like to say this game will be free in the appstore, this is my first ever game for iPhone do i think it will be this amazing game that takes off and becomes one of the best certainly not, am i hoping it will sure i think every developer hopes so.

    But you know what Great App or Sh*Ty app either or its a first, you have to start somewheres, someone once told me aim for millions but expect less, Keep the mentality that you can and will make the best app! Sure it may be simple sure it may not be to original, ill get some hate and some love on the game, Ill take the Hate not disregarding it but taking the mistakes i've made and improving an building upon that. And then take the love of the game and Build off that even more!

    Why would i charge for my first project? Sure i've thought of it but then i really thought and said you know what i'm going to release it for free, i'm expecting lots of hate and some love maybe vise versa who knows. but i'm beginning and starting somewheres.

    I won't let your nonsense tear me down, i refuse to take ones personal opinion and rip my dream straight from my hands. No i'm better than that i will take my dream and my mistakes sure it will leave a few scars but never will i allow it to define who i am and who i'm meant to be. Developing is my life i live and breathe it, i've gone sleepless night's the past month because of this game, because i'm learning i'm progressing and developing i'm starting a future you have to start somewheres.

    But it makes me think Portgas i wonder how many young and upcoming developers just threw in the towl because some idiot like you went and took there dream straight from there hands and threw it down and said never pick this back up. I wonder how many great games, great people could have made something new, innovative, creative. But got that all ripped away from someone like you. Am i mad no i respect you i love the hate the opinions it will will only have the effect you allow it to have on you, it can either tear you down or use it to your advantage to Build you up.

    Just a quick update: i'M Currently working on improving the gameplay as well as making it more challenging, as everyone can see it is quite simple almost to simple. So over the weekend and tonight and have been working on improving the gameplay adding more to it making it simply more challenging and addictive!! New ways to interact gather achieve etc.. Will have further updates tonight. including videos screenshots etc.

    Also thinking of having bubbles that once you click on wrong color candy with bubble over candy and float away from keeping from falling off screen which would deduct points as well.

    So i've been thinking and changing, designing. Retro Pixelated effect, which is something i have been wanting to achieve but have been spending countless hours learning illustrator and so on... So here are a few screen-shots!!

    I, im my personal opinion, like the art you had at first.
    The pixel art just doesn't work for me.

    Looks ok.But where are the pixels.It looks clean.It is not pixel.
    ANd those level select screen i think a clean vector will look more good then those rough blocks.

    Thanks for feedback.. Leek select was a simple rough draft still designing buttons for that..

    As for the pixelation i'M trying to keep simple and clean of course still workin on design as well but added finally particle effects for the candy when dropping leaves a trail like sort effect making more challenging to achieve. As well as much more will post another update video tonight!!

    I Understand, i went with this look because i'm aiming for something original i know that the way it looked before was great don't get me wrong but it seems to me as if it has almost a feel of other popular games which many have now days, what i'm trying to aim towards is something new and original that sure may seem weird or not look the best at first but it's unique unlike all the others and everyone i've let test and play have agreed.

    And a quick video, i added some particle effects, and when gameplay starts for instance you have to gather 15 (red) but i also added an animation to the red candy as well changing from red to green 3"fps" constantly making harder to touch needed candy as well as decreased hit box size...

    Really hate the pixel look :( Not consistent.

    As for particles, it makes that game much harder to play since you may touch the particles instead of the main actor.

    I for one really love the pixel look of course! And I preferred the more colourful look to the new blue one.

    I think what the problem is is that you currently have a mix of styles - vector art and pixel art!

    Pick one and stick with it for a more consistent look!

    Same i like the pixel look, as well as all my friends who i asked.

    And yes have to redesign buttons etc.. to be smooth with the images all pixel art.

    Getting this game to be 100% original graphics is a lot of work :) but worth it all!!

    Sat 7 hours in coffee shop working didn't move, asked random people there and they kept coming up asking if i worked for apple Ha.

    Another all nighter hopefully last!! getting real close!!

    Nope i've made it to where the hatbox in constrained to the actor red candy or whatever cant i'm using to where to particle won't delete.. mUST HIT CANDY
