Just some thoughts, images, and video from my personal experience at the Global Game Jam, creating a game with Adent42 and some University of Texas students. Our platformer was probably the most complete game at the Austin location, thanks to a certain program that allowed us to skip the whole coding thing. ;)

Of course! I linked the game's Global Game Jam page in my blog post but it's probably not too clear. Here's the direct download link:

I would love to know what you did to get the jumping to be consistent. I haven't tried it for a while, but getting something to jump only when it is colliding with a platform was always a challenge in earlier builds. Does it work more consistently now in 0.8.3?

Nice work! Will we see this in the App Store?

And the keynote video was brilliant.

The jumping while colliding was using the simple collides / overlaps rule. The source code for the game is available on the global game jam site if you want to take a look.

I had so much trouble with the overlapping being consistent the last time I tried that, but that was a couple of versions ago - I may have to try another game with jumping. This is exciting!

    Great!
Amazing that it was made in 48 Hours!
But because of that fact there are errors...
The source code is available on the GGJ website so I got a copy and fixed the major issue.
It does not save the High score correctly.
This is because it saves the Hi-score then it sets the score.
    Would love an iPhone version!
