Need to use my own fonts?

Hi,

I've made custom fonts for my game, without realizing that gamesalad supports a select few fonts..

can anybody suggest how can i use my own fonts, if at all?

    You could use it in your graphic design program, and export the text as an image...

    I *wish* we could use our own fonts!

    Most of my time, menu wise, is making graphics that say 'Play' or 'Options' or whatever in the font of my choice.

    This includes any large bodies of text of course, like the credits, or the instructions to a game.

    Life would certainly be easier if we could use our own fonts.

    Also, from a game performance perspective, having several actors constraining images to show the score is far more costly than just using the 'Display text' stuff.

    I feel your pain, Kinzua, and still hope that some day, we can use our own fonts!

    Very likely a licensing issue.

    edit: but obviously it would be great to hear otherwise and that we are about to be inundated with glyphology

    Ok guys to use your own fonts please refer to this video



    you can use the same method to change alphabets! I always use my own fonts in my games. in fact it is damn simple

    I find constrained numbers custom fonts less of of a performance hit than the available text functions. Not sure why but it seems so with a couple of projects... kip
