Steve was my boss for three years while I was at Pixar. He was "insanely great" and well loved. A good boss. He attended my Pixar graduation and assisted handing out the diplomas. I have pictures of that somewhere..... each week he would address the company and was very approachable. Because of his products in the late 1980's I got into computers, which led to animation, editing, production and of course game work. I have so much to thank him for. So I am grateful yet very sad. Respect.......

I loved this speech. Some may think we are crazy to have a deep feeling of loss at someone we have never even met, yet Steve was such a great person and a tech genius, it's hard to not have this tug at the heart strings.
Even knowing that this was probably coming, it doesn't make it any easier. RIP Steve Jobs.
US President Barack Obama: Steve was among the greatest of American innovators - brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.
It is indeed a sad day. He was a man that lived life intensely. My thoughts go out to his family, friends, and co-workers. He did make a difference, and may his meme live on for a very long time. We could do with more of it.
Because of steve us as developers are developers, we can thank steve for our $1000/€1000/£1000 a year all because he simply made apple, and without apple who knows where we would be today, 'Stay Hungry stay foolish" "Death is the single most important innovation of life"

RIP Steve Jobs Inventor of Breakout one of the the first arcade games (without that, the video game industry would crash and burn like the pottery industry) Inventor of Macintosh (Without that the pc industry would be as lame as the horse industry) Founder of Apple (Without that, Bill Gates would have started "Pear" which would have crashed and buned)

I wouldn't be able to type this out now to express how sad I am over his passing away if it wasn't for him. We wouldn't be where we are at now with technology if it wasn't for him. There would be no GameSalad if it wasn't for him. Almost everything I do on a day to day basis wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for him. I'm going to continue to try and produce the best games and apps I can, because of him.
How fitting to have first found out about his passing away, on a device he created.

Steve’s ideas have changed all of our lives and he will be sorely missed.
Watching that video of him presenting the Mac brought tears to my eyes.
I have one of those in working condition in my attic.
Rest in peace Steve.
I'm working in one of the major News channel and my task for today is all about creating graphics for this saddest news. rip steve jobs.

I love the fact that he did all the amazing apple stuff and nearly went bankrupt whilst bank rolling Pixar to make Toy Story...
We just had a 20 minute discussion about him this morning at work...I don't think my job would be anything like it is without him..Cheers Steve...
No wonder that at the keynote everyone seemed so undertone, maybe they knew he was dying.
He will be truly missed.
I can't imagine what the tech world would be like without Apple and Job's individualistic approach to business.
Besides so much technology--GS probably wouldn't even exist.
I don't imagine he'd want everyone to dwell on it, in the words of Steve... live each day as if it were your last.
He was an amazing person, he left a great legacy that changed the whole damn world for the better.
So sad...
Rest in peace Steve! Obviously God wanted to have His own iPhone...
