Has anyone in the Gamesalad community released a game that became New & Noteworthy on the App store and was selling for $1.99?

If so, how were the sales? Have you also released a game for $.99 that made New & Noteworthy? If so, how were the sales in comparison?

Right now, I think it's very difficult to sell a game for $1.99 on the iTunes App Store. Maybe if it's a really good game for iPad, it might be possible to find success. Commove was originally $1.99 and it was featured by Apple. That was well over a year ago though.

Yes the consumers on the App Store are spoiled these days. With things like angry birds being $0.99, it is very hard to sell an app with a bigger price tag than that.

According to analysts and app store sales figures, games for 1.99 earn more money total than 99. Because 99 cents games are mostly trash. People have more faith in pricey games.

Wait until you meet the Droid consumers. They even have an App that lets them pirate (download for free) any App.

This is exactly why I am asking the question. I have also heard the same thing. While it seems the majority of games are priced at $.99, there are a number of games that are priced at $1.99 or more.

The developers of "Ow My Balls," a successful iPhone game, along with several other developers that they mention say "not to shoot yourself in the foot" by pricing a game at $.99.

Really? I've seen the pay for pirate installs site, but never an app to just steal.
