Sound Volume Doesn't Turn Back On

In my game I have a switch that turns on and off sound volume and another switch that controls music. The music switch works perfectly fine, but there are problems with the sound switch. After I turn off the sound, I can't turn it back on. The switch will show that it's turned on, but the sound volume is not set back to 1. No matter how many times I turn on and off the switch, the sound will still be off. This only occurs in the ad hoc.
