Hi All,

i decided to publish a "grow on the go" game - this means it´s crowed sourced and you can all be part of the development. So i actually turend "grown on the go" into a game itself.

At the moment we are on Level 1 - simple gameplay, simple graphics, simple sound.

What will come next? You decide! :)

    "extra canon power ups that you can place anywhere on the screen which will mimic the movements of the main canon." - should it shoot in the same direction as the main gun or also towards the mouse?

    Update: i fixed the score now "+10" adds 10 to the score, not 50

    yep, i think so too. maybe the extra gun should also come from the center tower - that way we don´t need extra controls to place the gun... what ya think?

    UPDATE Version 0.11 "Donut"

    Captain - Shields are online! :)

    Shield Drop Rules:
    - The "shield drop" will drop on a random of "1,10"
    - shoot shield drop to activate!
    - only when the enemy is shot
    - only when there is no active shield
    - only when there is no other shield drop on the screen
    - enemies killed by the shield give points but no drops ;)
    - the shield is online for 3 sec
    - the shield drop has no time limit

    UPDATE: Version 0.12 "Big Ass Boogie"

    All hands brace for impact! New Enemy on collision course! :D

    NEW enemy was added
    - 3 times as strong
    - same drops and drop rate
    - same amount of points when shot
    - same speed
    - same sound
    - drops every 3 seconds

    CHANGES in Version 0.12:
    - enemy Type 1 now spawns every 0.6 instead of 0.5 sec to compensate for Enemy Type 2
    - first kill now does not drop the "shield drop" anymore
    - shield drop reduced to "1,30"

    What´s that? You want more points, other sound or other speed on enemy type 2? I can´t hear ya!

    i need to work on some other things, but i will try to get the waves feature online within the next 5 hours :D

    Do you have any suggestion on how to make waves and a wave warning in a endless game? i can´t set a timetable like i would do with levels, so this has to work on timers somehow, but without the chance to send it multiple waves by accident

    that may pt too much actors on the screen - GS is not really good for shooters. but i will test it :)

    Boy: "Captain, the enemy attacks with a new strategy! I feel like a red shirt!"
    Captain: "Ahhh, shut your gap! We can fight this!"
    System: "ALERT, ALERT, a enemy spy has disabled the Auto-Gun!"
    Captain: "!@#$%!"
    Boy: "Told ya, told ya!"

    NEW:
    The Shield has SFX now!

    NEW:
    Waves have been added!
    Wave Rules:
    - start wave is 0.8
    - every following wave is -0.05
    - only type 1 enemy comes in waves
    - type 2 enemy comes all the time with the same ratio
    - Before every wave a "wave count" message is added

    NEW Features:
    - Score on "Dead Screen" was added
    - Highscore on "Dead Screen" was added
    - "Dead Screen" now is blocked for 2 seconds from clicking to restart (to avoid accidental restart without seeing your scores)

    NERFS:
    - Auto-gun on mouse down has been disabled! (what, ya lazy muggers? ya can´t click ta shoot? well ya ganna ´ave to!)

    Have fun playing and tell me what else you want to see improved and how. Don´t forget to also tell me about any bugs you encounter! :D

    Really? Well, let´s hope the technical engenier on board of the Centron Ship can fix the Auto Gun soon! I ask him real quick over the intercom

    me: "What ya think mate, that possible some time soon?"
    Technical Engenier Sir Keets: "Ya gat ta be kidden here. How soon?"
    me: "yesterday would be good!"
    TE Sir Keets: "Oh, whould it? What´s the magical word?"
    me: "That would be "gettaworkyalazybastard"!"
    TE Sir Keets: "All right, all right!"

    But for real: I was playing it without the auto gun all the time. The auto gun is way to slow to kill that much enemies. ;D

    TE Sir Keets: "Ey mates, i had tha old auta-gan fixed right nice and pushed a little mo juice from that thing"
    Captain: "Awesome!"
    System: "INCOMING MESSAGE: The Centron Command has decided to hand out Achievements for your hard work.. chrrtzrchhcrr..chrrrr.."
    Captain: "You heard that? All hands on deck, i want some of those Achievement Bling in my Lounge asap!"
    Boy: "You got a Lounge? This is a freaking warship and you got a privat lounge?"
    Captain: "Quiet! Genius needs ta chillex from time ta time. Now to the guns!"

    NEW:
    - Auto-gun is back and now has a ass wooping 0.02 sec faster reload time
    - 5 new Achiements - that would be:
    - 30 kills Achievement
    - 100 kills Achievement
    - 500 kills Achievement
    - 1000 kills Achievement - so gun them down!
    - new sexy start screen
    - new geekish deadscrren with more stats - like:
    - "total play time" stat
    - "Total kills" stat

    hope you love it - was a !@#$% load of work to figure all that stuff out (hey, i´m a first timer here - where is my freaking Achievement!)

    keep playing, keep suggesting new features, keep the guns hot and the drinks cool!

    Also here is bit of bad news:
    Seems a upload to Gamesalad resets all scores to zero - i´m really sorry for that and hope you will still keep playing. I will make this into the game design, so the balancing features the reset - if you get citrons you got to make lemonade :D
