Hey guys , a status update : Spin The Nut has been free for about 22 hours and i had above 18,000 dL .
Apparently , the good old "Rotstik" (if you know him you know him) got his hands on the game , he gave it 3 stars review whoo hoo! (i cant belive this guy is still reviewing every game , talking about persistence)
As of now the game features under N&N Games in US . This morning it got inside Greece and portugal N&N front page ! i dont know how and why , isnt apple do N&N on thursdays ?
For those of you who did not noticed an update (v1.0.1) is already up , it has some minor bug fix , new graphics for the tutorials (much better ones) and scene transitions when you finish a world and move to the next one.
Today i finished working on the new second element that will come with v1.1! 2 more to go! i replaced all the animations behaviors with timers like yoda suggested , although i dont see much of a difference in loading times, i really need GS help with this one!
v1.1 is currently on work , it will bring: New backgrounds (i know the current ones.... not my best hour) , 40 new levels (2 more worlds) lots of new physics elements to spice thing up and hopefully an IAP feature .
Anyway , currently dl are not as expected , about 70 a day , but i haven't gave up yet !
roy 70 a day is pretty awesome in my opinion!...its difficult for small timers but you need to stick at it ... one thing i was looking to bring up in the future (my current game is still a bit off from being finished) was marketing and how people are emailing the reviewing sites?..do you just post screens and a promo code or something?
Well , if you want to marketing your game i dont think you need to spend money , some people might say otherwise . what i will do is look at this list: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=27149 And go to everyone of the sites , join the forums , make post in the forums about your game with screens and gameplay video , submit app for review if there is this possibility in the site. Most sites will ignore you or return an answer to pay them for advertisement , maybe you'll get lucky , its a gray area . Also post on facebook , open a page , share it on your friends wall , tell them to do the same , spread the word , and twitter . hope it will help you get started , it takes more time than you imagine ! I have encountered a few bugs so far:
1) On World 1 - Level 7, I finished it with 2 nuts and there was a small white square covering the area where the time and score appear at the bottom.
2) After the above appeared, I clicked on the level screen option and for level 7, it showed no nuts but level 8 was still unlocked. I tried this again when I got 3 nuts on level 7 and it correctly showed 3 nuts when I clicked on the level screen option.
3) On World 1- Level 8, after shooting the nut off the screen, I clicked on the retry button as the screen was fading down to restart the level and it got stuck on a black screen. However, the game was still running as I could hear the music and Azoo making noises. I clicked around randomly on the screen and the level restarted eventually. I tried recreating this bug but I couldn't do it.

Have you updated to 1.0.1? i think i fixed the first and second in this update ..
About 3 , dont know what caused it , i try to press reset rapidly , it seems to work fine , maybe a Gs anomaly ?!

Finished coding all the elements for the new update! Its 4 new physics/movement elements (well basically its 5 but 4&5 are together ) all thats left is level design and graphics .

Yes, you are seeing right , its a slingshot , and its a magnet , thats all i can reveal right now Stay tuned.
Just finished the first world and loving the game so far. My only suggestion is that all the user-changeable elements stay where/how they were on the previous attempt. I notice that some things stay the same when the scene resets (the directional arrows) but other things don't (like the sliding platforms).
Can't wait to see the new physics/movement elements!

Thanks for the suggestion mate , already implied the changes, everything now stays where you left it how you left it It will be available in the next update!
It has 12 levels , 6 from world 1 and 6 from world 2 . If you haven't tried out yet my game Spin The Nut give the Lite version a go!

i feel good about it , the controls with the keyboard and the mouse are very friendly and precise all of the levels where remade from scratch to fit the big display so it feels ilke a whole new game also the new backgrounds are integrated and give a unique atmosphere to Azoo's adventure !
