Well I got my first review and it's a nice one! Better than I expected for my first game :)

    Just a quick note, App Store Arcade were very friendly and nice to work with. Great communication and very professional. I highly recommend dropping them an email if you are interested in a review!

    If interested they'll review your game for free. Also they offer a nice option to expedite (speed up) your review for just $15. I don't personally believe in having to pay for a base review, but I liked that I could pay a bit extra to get it reviewed straight away instead of joining the queue. Personally I thought it was worth it to get some early momentum for my game rather than waiting a month or so.

    Also they seem to have decent traffic and very affordable ad rates if anyone is interested.

    I can't wait to see what kind of reviews I could get for my upcoming games that are more ambitious (ie have more content).

    What does the mail look like that you send to these people?
    A quick explanation of the game and some screenshots? Or the appstore link and then leave it up to them? :-)

    Yes, a quick introduction, explanation of the game, screen shots, icon and an offer to send a promo code if they are interested. :)
