Need help with jumping in Traffic Ninja

So I used to have to the jump set up with timers where you could jump for .5 sec or release the jump button to fall earlier. I had the 'run to completion' box unchecked and as soon as you released the button the accelerate down would kick in. Now it doesn't work and I need help to create the same effect. Any suggestions?
