How have the sales been for you?
  • RodrigoPerezRodrigoPerez Member Posts: 212
Roughly 4-5 sales per day so at least it's consistent.

@plproduksjon Thanks, i would love to do an Episode 2 unfortunately, unless the original Bouncing Birds! takes off, I'm afraid that it's just too time consuming without any compensation.

@Braydon_SFX Those numbers are with me marketing. I've sent emails to over 40 review sites over a month and a half ago and none of them have responded.

How long did it take you to create that game anyway?
How many sales have you had since release?
    How do you lock levels?

Well, I'm sorry to say, that although you have done most things right, you forgot one important element, and that is to have fun. Your gameplay is just dull the way it is now, some cheery music might help a bit, but it's really lacking "oomph" for lack of a better word.

Look at the games you play, and see why you like them, once you can pinpoint the why part, that's what you should be incorporating into your game. (Of course different genres require different approach)

Consider making an ipad version of both free and paid. Also consider putting iAds in your games.

Can a chef please remove the stars if it is appropriate. Sorry I just don't think other users should copy the way certain users post. In this case Darren

err no, with respect I doubt Darren was the first ever to use the stars and even so its common place on forums not just GameSalad to use them.

    (can't stand brown nosers)

I guess I didn't express myself well enough when I wrote that the gameplay was "dull". What I meant was that the gameplay is average, so one doesn't get any satisfaction from finishing a stage. Hope that becomes a little clearer.

And for the record, I do think Angry Birds is a really boring game to me personally, but the gameplay is far above average, so I understand why it has become such a hit.

    I'm making a light game
please let us know how it affects sales
    good luck

did you know you copied someone else's app name or did they copy you!? that's not good when promoting your game.

just looked and you don't have pro and no link to your game so people could down load the wrong game.

someone coped my name they have now changed it.

To be honest I find most iPhone games boring but I was a more hard core gamer once and that isn't really the target group for iPhone games.
When you are used to Bioshock, Call of Duty, Battlefield 2010, etc every iPhone game is boring.

But on the other hand puzzle games like Tiny Balls are nice and games with awesome graphics and sound and atmosphere can be great and boring at the same time (an example is machinarium, a Flash game that has been around. The gameplay is rather boring and even the puzzles are kinda lame but I just love the art).

    My 2cts.

Oh, and RodrigoPerez, I'll give it a go thanks for the announcement.

Oh God... give the guy a break. It's only a couple of stars.

Downloading the lite version now. Keep sending emails to sites, they will eventually notice :)
