*Art for game???*

What do you guys use for your art?? And every time I make something and put it in the game there is always a white background behind it...HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS??? Thanks

You need to make your images a .png format so you have transparency, otherwise it'll fill the background in with white

In your image editing software make sure you have the setting of transparent background set. If you're using Inkscape (which is the only image editing software that I know) you can click on "save image as a bitmap" which will make the image have a transparent background (make sure you save it as a .png).

I tried to save it as a .png and it still comes up with a white background. Can someone make a few steps because nothing seems to be working Is there a way to do it directly in sumopaint??

i use photoshop normally. i tried sumopaint just now for the first time to test what it was doing in your case. saved a file as png. but when it actually saves to the computer it saves as a generic file with no .png extension. i manually added in the .png and it seemed to correct it. opened it up in the photoshop just to double check and the transparency was intact.

How did you manually add the .png?? and RKS, sumopaint won't let me add a new layer?

goto where your file is and just do a single click on the file name (not on the actual icon) it should let you change the name

I pressed the add new layer button and nothing happens at all
