edited November -1 in Announce Your Game!
i finally got my first app into the app store, i know its kind of a short game but I think it was in a lot of ways a learning experience to kind of teach me how this stuff works. Anyways here is the link
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/doodle-touch-doodle-themed/id457341631?ls=1&mt=8
please tell me what is wrong with it for future games, besides that its short because I know that.

Great work Michael! (Saw the developers name if you were wondering how I knew it) I will try it out! You should make the ball graphics a bit less sloppy

Nice start for a first app! I've got a few questions?!
How long did it take from submitting your app until it was available on the app store?!
Do you create a new scene for every level?
How much did you have to pay to GS and Apple?!
Did you download the GS viewer to test your game out before publishing it?!

well it took about 4 or 5 days to get into the app store from the time i sent it in.
yes every level has a different scene.
I didn't pay gamesalad at all and i pay 99 dollars every year to apple.
I used the gs viewer while the app was in development but in order to test out unlocking levels and saving and other stuff I actually installed the app on my device.

I thought you had to pay GS to get your game published?!
I know there's a GS Pro version which you have to pay for!

No - the free version of GS let's you publish to the App Store (Mac or iOS). The Pro version includes extra support from GameSalad and GameCenter support among other things.

To the OP. Congrats! I just submitted my first game yesterday - can't wait until it's available in the App Store. Keep working at it!!

How did you get the ball to bounce off the surfaces smoothly and straightly?!
I'm trying to do a similar thing but when the ball bounces off, it kind of starts to float in a circle?!
Any ideas on how to fix this?!

Just a heads up, the name 'Doodle Touch' might have a a double meaning for some people ;p

"Hey, why are you doing in the bathroom for so long?"
    "I'm playing doodle touch!"

hehe just saying :P If anything this might be good for marketing though :)

yeah, well the wall is not movable, simply go into the actor attributes and uncheck movable for the wall actor, and just use the collide behavior to have it bounce. btw im using the change velocity to move the ball (that might have something to do with it). how are you bouncing your actor now and how is it set to move?
    good luck!
