Beefy_Clyro New Game - Helmet Hero

Hey ... As the thread title suggests, new game :D

The survival of the Gizzle’s is in your hands.

A retaliation mission is served when the Helmet Hero’s decide to kamikaze into the evil ‘Goots’, who are holding the 'Gizzle’s captive in a desperate bid to take over their unique worlds!

Using simple one-finger controls, you will need to aim the Helmet Hero’s at the Goot’s to wipe them out. Once you have cleared the path of all danger, a switch will appear which must be pressed to release the Gizzle’s.

You will need to fight across 5 environments in a huge 50 levels.

Be warned though, you will need timing, precision and skill to overcome all the defenses the 'Goot's have in place to prevent your attacks!

I have submitted the game to Apple so should be live soon. The art was a mix of myself (doing the level backgrounds on my ipad) and the wonderful Basil (http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=14910) who done the menu screens, characters and objects in the game. He also provided me the music too. Oh, theres also some TSB art in there too, so yeh, a right mix this one. Ha.

    Looks great and fun. I like the incorporation of the button opening sections and then having to get the next hero to that area in time. I like all the different expressions on the baddies too.

    looks great.. you might want to check itunes tho as I think there is a game already called 'helmet hero' - totally different gameplay, but same name.

    Massive school boy error on my behalf!!!! Theres a lot of games out there with similar names, luckily the other has more to it than just Helmet Hero so we'll see. I just registered it in iTunes connect and as it didnt tell me it was in use so I just went ahead with it, man i should of checked that out properly though!

    Cheers Darren ... Ah you noticed huh? Seriously though, yes they are. Im not an artist of any sorts but I got a vector program to mess around with on my ipad and having never even attempted vector art I thought i would need some reference images to work from. I always liked the style of the art in Bumps and thought it would be a good starting point as it isnt too detailed. I made a few backgrounds, thought they turned out OK and just held onto them, when I started this project I thought it went quite well so decided to use them.

    I really, really enjoy your game, and I love your characters :)

    Yeh its a fun game thanks, sales arent very god considering once its not on the release date page it just wont be shown.

    Cheers. I actually got the graphics in a template but yeh they're nice graphics so i would say yes it would be worth it
