Gamesalad crashed and now file won't load... please HELP!

I was working on a project today and gamesalad started glitching up and then crashed. I had just saved, but when I tried to go reload the project it wouldn't load. It showed a loading bar in the gamesalad home screen thing but nothing ever came up. I've restarted my computer and gamesalad but nothing seems to work. I read deleting some prototype string in the object.xml file might work, but I'm not sure what exactly is meant by this. I've messed with the file but to no avail.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem? :(

    try dragging the project over the gs icon and letting go. If not you can try deleting the .gsuser file

    Neither of those worked. Any idea about the xml thing?

    look into the package contents, is the gsuser file with a terminal icon. If it is, just rename and open the project and that should do the trick!
