does apple compress your app files even more when you submit?

Im trying to get one of my games down to 20mb, so it can be downloaded over 3G. Its really close now(23.4mb .app file), but there is a lot of artwork, and I've already reduced a lot of it. My question is does Apple compress your .app files even more once you submit it?

I submitted a app a few weeks ago that was 80mb, but the app in the appstore says its only 65mb. So thats about 20% has anybody else had similar results?

    My apps were both quite a bit smaller than I expected once they reached the App Store. My working GameSalad project files were pushing 20 megs (and they were pretty clean, I removed all unused graphics, etc), but both are now well under 10 megs on the app store. Hope this helps!
