FireWall : too clichèd or a good idea?

I recently decided to put together a new project on vacation, since I can't access my current project. I call it FireWall. You play as a hacker trying to access a computer. To do it, you need to destroy hackable blocks and get the virus block to connect with the port block and hack the computer. But touch the firewall block and you get burned. I plan to add more stuff as it goes, like moving blocks, maybe teleporters, and the like. What do you think? Will the digital setting and cool ideas keep it from sinking into the mires of clichès? Or will the virus block get burned prematurely?

If it gets pulled off right, I think that it has a fun potential.

I've seen this concept attempted before. Not sure where, though. Don't think the game was ever finished.

Well, if it wasn't finished, then I can do this without fear of looking like a clone game... right?

A clone game is only a clone game if it doesn't bring something unique to it to differentiate it. The vast majority of games are based on previous games that change things up to varying degrees to make them not seem like clones.
