The ongoing glory of Cheeseman is assured! Not sure what the what the sound track is but it sounds like 'The Dead Kennedys' metes synth pop. Your animation of Cheeseman is really good. Exactly right for the sense of motion and pace. Go Cheeseman!
do i need a publisher ? i mean a publisher contacted me and want to publish my game for free , i just have to put their logo in the game , and i can keep the the money
A Publisher is a company like EA They take a game 'Crysis' Made by 'Crytek' and they broadcast and advertise the crap out of it and get sales under the name EA. Usually they would ask for a percentage royalty but if they didnt - research them and see how popular they are. They would take Cheesboy and basically mass advertise it (depending on their size) and you would get more sales. Thats the general Idea, But if they are doing it for free, see what other games they have published because it could be that they think this game would sell and are using you to get popular rather than you using them. the basic idea of that publisher is that they are doing t for free because they want to get more games and get popular , and cross market with all the games they have to reach more people , and they said that i can keep also the PR . i asked for a copy of the contract to study it deeply because it seems too tricky . usually the publishers wants money + the PR .
1). ask for a plan of their action to sell the title.
2). make sure the money for the title comes to you, either by keeping the app on your account on the store or by making sure you have full understanding of them as a legal company and you know exactly who they are and have a legal contract.
3). if the title doesn't sell as you wish, you have an agreement that everything returns to you at a in a time frame that you would be happy with, and that they can no longer represent themselves as having do to with your title, and that at NO cost to you.
4). have everything checked by a lawyer. Most lawyers will check a document for you for free as they see it that if the contracts moves forward they will get the work. A good accountant can often spot problems as well.
5). a contract is a contract. Once signed it is legally binding. sign fast, repent at leisure.
hey kipper , that's some good advices , i' suck a noob in legal stuffs , i will check more about thel and check forums , and still waiting for the copy of the contract then i will ask a lawyer friend to tell me if everything rings .
no problem. There also another aspect to this. What do you want? You can choose how your app is sold, If you want to handle certain markets, or want them to address translation, ask for it. If you want them to wear Cheeseman suits and learn Kung Fu you can ask for it. They don't have to say yes, but input from your end can be as valuable as what they come up with.
Wow! Very good! This reminds me of Super Meat Boy, except I think I like this one better because it doesn't seem to be brutally difficult like Super Meat Boy :P

Good luck with sales, you truly deserve them!
thank you zoo much , i really put so much effort and money into it i hope this will work
Just be careful,I've just had an email as well they will invest $5000 in advertisement but they want to put some advert for there company inside your game, plus they want 8% of sales if under 2500 In the first month and 14% if over plus they already have some games on the app store,I'm on the iPhone soon as I get home I'll post the emails.
So many people seem to love platformers. Guess they all grew up on Mario? So if you get the controls and level design right you'll probably get loads of good reviews. Whether that turns into solid sales or not... well, who can predict the turbulent seas of the app store?
I think you're making a good choice to start your marketing now and try and build up interest before you release.
Do you collect much stuff in the game? Could be good to have plenty of random rewards as you progress the levels.
It's looking good

AMTGames We will invest around $5k in effective advertising of your game. For this we want 9% of the revenue if the total net for the fist month is under $25k and 14% if the total net for the fist month is greater than $25k. You will have acess to daily sales reports. However we'd also like to try the game and we would need you to implement analytics and our advertising engine before release.
i decided to not go go a publisher unless it's a publisher that i know well i will do my marketting by my self , it's hard but i guess for now it's the best solution . and thank you guys cheeseman got 169 fans so far in facbook .
Spencer.Porter said: your changing direction. i just now noticed once player pushes opposite direction of running it appears to simply slow down the character and THEN change the direction image once im guessing linear velocity is the opposite direction? looks really good regardless! i was just simply curious as to what you did use for movement/jumping/gravity? i have been playing around with accelerate...change velocity... move... and getting strange results with running/jumpin/gravity. maybe ya could broadly enlighten me a bit to what your methods were
i would be glad to help , send me a PM , and i will answer you back , please incluse your mail so it would be easier
