Can a Iconic object be copyrighted?

Example: If I were to make a game where you were a time travailing delorean or a police box flying through space could I be sued?

I think you can put stuff like that in as Parody - as in, it shows up very briefly as a kind of joke - but using it as your main 'star' would probably get you into trouble.

I can see from your threads lately that you seem to be floundering as to what to do next - take a break - relax - it'll come to you when it needs to :)

    QS :D

Just a question: would it still be considered a parody if an iconic character or object were part of a joke but not actually poked fun at itself, for example, if I were to put waldo somewhere in my game as a sort of easter egg?

That would be ideal but unfortunately I'm running out of time and money so I'm kind of getting "uneasy". I'm just a little fish in a pond thats quickly getting larger.

It's kind of funny how when I first started I thought that all I would have to do to become successful was to put out a game that stood above all the crappy clones, turns out I was wrong. lol
