Installing provisioning profile?

Ok, I'm following tshirts video to set myself up a provisioning profile so I can test my game on a device.
I've downloaded the newly setup provisioning prof to my dowloads folder. I now double click this profile (its names GS.mobileprovision) and I have a pop up message stating that "no available application can open it".
I'm assuming I've missed downloading something from the development centre?... but am also having difficulting knowing if i'm following tshirts vids in the correct order as there's no way of knowing which i should be viewing first.
Any help appreciated guys. Cheers

I've now installed xcode and progressed a little... but the latest version of xcode looks different to the one in tsb video - I'm really struggling with this?
Where on earth do I find the 'Bundle Identifier' field in which I need to input my domain name?
All I can find is a field called 'Bundle Build', is this a new name for the same field?
Then when searching for 'codes' I'm finding 'Code Signing flags' but not 'code signing identity', is this the same a 'Signing Identity'?
I'm not a programmer so this is new to me! Has anyone else had such a problem with this?!
