Hey all, this not exactly a game but I wanted to create a App to teach children (below 3 years) to learn counting (using recognition of fingers, numbers, etc). Tested out with my nephew and he enjoyed it :)

Check it out at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/counting-kidz/id446669042?mt=8&ls=1 and give me some reviews and rate it ya! :)

    Looks good.

One small point I would suggest (after more years than I care to admit in kid's publishing). Most teachers agree that for early and pre re-readers that you should use lower case fonts, as this is how they are taught the early steps. Of course at this point the kid is not reading, but it is part of the early learning process, and you might find if it were to get picked up by more general education that there would be a slight resistance to your app as it it doesn't conform to other educational materials. There is also a preference for 'educational fonts' with the simpler letter forms and sans serif. Look at fonts like Gill, VAG, etc, Watch out for hooked over 'a's. If you know a teacher of young kids, I would have a chat with them.

    Good luck

Thanks very much Kipper! Appreciate your advice here which I never thought off. Will definitely to talk to my friend who is a pre-school teacher on this. Once again, thanks very much! :)

I would recommend looking into getting better artwork, after all, kids have short attention spans so you want to keep them focused on the app.
