Player appearing as white box...

I'm brand new to GameSalad. I bought a template for a game to customize but when I try to replace the player graphic it turns into a white box when testing the game.
I made a png in Firefox, it's 72dpi and 36x36 with transparency. I closed GameStudio, opened the package and replaced the original image with my own, same name and extension. I reopened GameSalad. My image appears under actors with the correct name.
What am I doing wrong? : /
I did a quick seach in the forum but did not come up with anything for white box png.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Double click the actor in the actual scene - if it's locked (a prototype) it will have a big padlock on it.
If it doesn't have a padlock, it means it's an instance of a prototype, so changing the prototype's image will have done nothing.
Drag your image into the instance of the actor in this case and it should work.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head!
Good luck!

If the image works in GS and not on the device it is usually because when you replaced it the replacement had something like a capital letter where a lowercase one is. For example image.png, Image.png, and image.PNG are all seen as different file names on the device but not in the Creator so if it works in the creator and not the device its prob due to that. Look at the old file and see how the image was named and rename your new image exactly the same.
